Parmesan French Toast
- Serves 2
Here’s my recipe for easy-peasy sourdough French toast with Dijon mustard and Parmesan, finished with a light drizzle of pure maple syrup and of course homemade almond milk to wash it all down.

Ingredients for Parmesan Toast
3 eggs
1 heaping tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3 tablespoons milk
4 thick slices sourdough loaf
2-3 tablespoons butter
Maple syrup, to serve
Recipes
Place cracked eggs, Dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese, black pepper and milk in a flat dish, whisk until well incorporated.
Place sliced bread in egg mixture. Let it sit in the egg mixture flipping occasionally until all the liquid is absorbed by the bread.
Heat a large frying pan on low-medium heat. Drop in butter and let it melt. Place bread slices in melted butter and cook for 3-4 minutes flipping occasionally until crispy golden brown on both sides. Serve hot drizzled lightly with golden maple syrup.
